Forest Coasters

These are like some of the first things I made. When I travel I like to collect things. Rocks. Sticks. Something that reminds me of the places I've been. And one day, I wanted to do something with it all. And then it hit me, in Finland they make little boxes out of Juniper branches cut into blocks and glued together, but how can I get the whole branch in there? I had just started experimenting with resin (waaay back in 2014) and that was it. I started making trays and coasters like this. And to this day these are some of my favorite things to make.

Epoxy coasters with slices of branches and logs from various species. Many collected from fallen trees and saved up to create the variety you see! Each batch is unique, as the species and sizes are never the same mix, just like in nature.
